VITORIA STONE FAIR 2012 EXCEEDS EXPECTATIONS
The diversity ofÂ dimensional stone andÂ technological innovationsÂ attracted overÂ 23.000Â visitorsÂ during the fourÂ days of theÂ Vitória StoneÂ Fair 2012, heldÂ inÂ CarapinaÂ Centro de eventos, Espirito Santo.
Besides to theÂ internationalÂ delegationsÂ andÂ a strongÂ national public, theÂ Vitória StoneÂ FairÂ 2012Â attractedÂ visitors from overÂ 65 countries, focused onÂ partnerships andÂ closeÂ new business.Â The evidence was theÂ increaseÂ ofÂ visitors fromÂ CentralÂ and South America.
The president of the Stone Association of Espirito Santo (Sindirochas) and the Technology Center of Marble and Granite (Cetemag), Emic Malacarne, said that the event exceeded expectations, bringing together a qualified public.
“The fair is high level; it once again can be compared with the best international fairs. The event exceeded expectations, showing the strength of the industry through the quality of Brazilian stones, which has its space in the global market, “said the president.
The Vitória Stone Fair 2012 presented 420 exhibitors, including 110 international from 18 countries. Large national and international groups haveÂ confirmed their participation in the next edition, which will be held between February 26 and March 1 of 2013.
“For one more year, the fair had a positive result, with an increase of national and international exhibitors. Brazil is in a good moment and the event proved that, “said Cecilia Milaneze, director of Milanez & Milaneze, event organizer.
This growth of the Brazilian market can be proved also by the exports: in 2011, Brazil exported US$ 999.6 million in dimensional stone, an increase of 4.22% over the previous year. Espirito Santo, the main producing and exporting state of the country, summed a total of U.S.$ 708.5 million, an increase of 3.71%.
